About Us

Pheasants Forever and its sister organization, Quail  Forever are national organizations  known as the “The Habitat Organization”, because they are committed to wildlife habitat restoration and preservation. Each year, individual chapters hold multiple fundraising events including banquet dinners to raise money to support local habitat improvement projects. Local chapters are empowered to determine where 100% of their locally-raised conservation funds will be spent. In this regard, Pheasants Forever is the only national conservation organization that operates through a truly unique grassroots fundraising structure. We are very excited to be in our second year as the Sacramento Chapter of Pheasant and Quail Forever. We have a group of hunters who are very committed to the sport of upland game hunting  and want give back,  and improve habitat and wild bird populations so that we, and others, can enjoy the sport for generations to come. Our Chapter is planning projects in habitat restoration, guzzler repair and construction of new guzzlers, and, if you’ve been following this page, you’ve seen that our group has already held our own youth hunt as well as helped with a second, and built a wheel-chair-accessible blind out at Yolo. If you enjoy Upland Game hunting and would like to join us in our efforts to achieve these worthy goals, come on out to one of our Monthly meetings, posted in the events calendar, or if you can’t commit to that now, please buy a ticket to our Second Annual Banquet coming up this October 19th, for a good meal, and a chance to participate in silent auctions and raffles for great hunting gear and accessories, meet fellow local hunters, share hunting stories and dog pictures ; )  We hope to see you there!
